this clip snagged from Atrios is fucking heavy. I really liked John McCain, and had he ever run, I'd probably have voted for him. His hard-assed-ness and concern seems serious and geniune as opposed to Bush's which seems contrived, just like his homey uhh-huh-aw-shucks-ma'am laugh.

Man, I wish I could see more of that clip. McCain's got some brass ones to just say that to a man's face. Hopefully he'll run in 08.

I wanted McCain to win the nomination in 2000, but he's not perfectly aligned with the RNC, so of course they'd never do it.

Whole fucking lot of them should be washed away. DC needs an enema.
