i hate travelling
Sep. 21st, 2008 03:21 pmso far, dallas/ft worth airport was really nice (REALLY nice)1.
the connection from dallas to austin was mercifully quick but turbulence on the way down. note to self: no more jjabrams ANYTHING before travelling.
Austin proper looks like a shithole -- dirty, poor, kind of a shambles, really. It reminds me of central FLA or ALA in the wide streets and rednecks. The longer I flew, the more at ease I became with it and it reminded me of flying to Indiana to see the Counting Crows. I had a window seat then, and while I am a big fan of aerodynamics, up close and personal demonstrations are something I am totally not interested in.
1. I am used to the chaos that is MIA, FTL is less chaos but just as busy, chicago and DC were functional but dirty. in comparison DFW fucking shined. and sprawled.
